She married John Andrew Forrest, of Longmead, a banker, who was Provost of Annan 1848-53. His father, John Forrest of Oaklands, held the position before him in 1805-7. She was buried in the new Kirkyard at Annan.
The family own valuable family records and inherited also those of Thomas William Lidderdale of the British Museum Library, which records have greatly helped the scope and accuracy of this account of the family.

William Robertson Lidderdale succeeded to the representation of the family at the death of his father at Castlemilk, in August 1777. He succeeded to Castlemilk, and became a captain in the Scots Greys in 1775, which regiment he joined as a coronet. He sold the property. He married Julia Rae in 1789, and had issue, of whom survived,
David, died unmarried in 1860.
Robertson, died unmarried in 1840.
Julia, married, in 1822, John Forrest of Long Meadow, Annan. She died in 1834, leaving issue,

"In Memory of John James son of John Forest of Oakland who died the 20th May 1820 aged 10 days also John James his second son who died the 27th July, 1828 aged 3 years. Also Julia Lidderdale his wife who died the 27th January 1834 aged 41 years. Also Julia Lidderdale his daughter who died the 9th February, 1834 aged 13 days and the above named John Forrest who died at Longmeadow the 12th December, 1853 aged 65 years.".
