The youngest at William Lidderdale's children was born on 15 Nov 1885 and married Marjorie, daughter of Paymaster-in-Chief William Jocelyn Nash, R.N. They had no children.
In 1909 he became a partner in the publishing house at James Nisbet Co., 22 Berners Street, London, with whom he remained connected for the rest of his life.
During the first (1914-1918) World War he was in the Foreign Office from 1916-1921 being in the Contraband and American Departments.
In the Second World War he was in the Ministry of Economic Warfare (1939-1942) being latterly Secretary of the Contraband Committee.
He also was very active in Christian Science for most at his adult life (among his activities being the instruction of Christian Scientist boys at Eton); but he never made any undue attempt to influence his younger relatives towards that Church and he is affectionately remembered as a most kind uncle and great uncle.
He died in February 1971, aged 84, having thus been the longest-lived of William Lidderdale's children. Marjorie, also a devoted and active Christian Scientist, died on April 7, 1988.
